Currently the host of Love Island: Aftersun, Maura is now a contestant on The Traitors Season 4. Where is Maura Higgins from and where does she get her accent?
Hailing from Ballymahon, County Longford, Ireland, she initially trained to be a hairdresser and then moved into modeling. By 2014, Higgins was a Monster Energy drink model known as a Monster girl. After a few years of modeling and music video appearances, she shifted towards her Love Island era in 2019.
How long has Maura Higgins been associated with Love Island?
The 35-year-old entered the Love Island competition dating franchise in 2019 as a contestant in the UK version's fifth season. She ended the season in fourth place. In 2020, she was invited to be a guest panelist on Love Island: Aftersun.

In 2020, she went even more mainstream as a contestant on Season 12 of the UK's competition series, Dancing on Ice where she was partnered with Alexander Demetriou. That led to her doing the popular British comedy panels shows as a guest, and hosting her own ITV2 series, Maura Higgins: You're Joking Me!.
