Amaya "Papaya" Espinal may have coupled up and gone to the hideaway on Love Island USA Season 7, but she's enjoying her love life away from cameras this time around. On Love Island: Beyond the Villa Season 2, Amaya revealed that she's off the market, but don't expect to meet her new beau on the spin-off.

How to Watch

Stream new episodes of Love Island: Beyond the Villa on Peacock Wednesdays at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET.

Months after winning last summer's season of Love Island USA with Bryan Arenales, and breaking up shortly thereafter, Amaya confirmed that she has a new man in her life. In February 2026, the two attended a fashion show in NYC together and posed for some red carpet photos. And just recently, in April, Amaya posted some romantic photos of them smooching in front of a sunset.

While Amaya has shared and odd update or two with fans about her new boyfriend, she revealed on Beyond the Villa that he won't be appearing on reality TV alongside her.

In Episode 3 — "Bye Bye Bryan, Hello New York" — Amaya opened up why her boyfriend won't be on Beyond the Villa, explaining that she wants to "protect" their relationship.

"My boyfriend isn’t going to be on the show," Amaya said in a confessional. "The reason why I decided to keep my boyfriend out of the spotlight is because I want to protect our relationship. So if you see us, you see us. Nobody’s hiding anything. My boyfriend and I, we knew each other for years before I even went on Love Island. I always had a crush on him. Fast forward to now, we’re just focusing on each other. We’re not focusing on what it looks [like] for other people."

During the same episode, Amaya met up with Love Island USA Season 6 star Kaylor Williams to catch up over some pizza. The two both live in NYC (though Amaya revealed she'll be moving to New Jersey), and while they were in Fiji at different times, they've since become friends. Back in December 2025, Kaylor posted a fun TikTok with her "twin" Amaya, set to Muni Long's "Made For Me."

As they two chatted in NYC, Amaya opened up to Kaylor about not wanting to include her boyfriend on Beyond the Villa, and she completely understood.

"No, honey don't let him," said Kaylor, who had an explosive and public relationship with her fellow Islander Aaron Evans. The Love Island exes went through plenty of tension on the first season of Beyond the Villa, but unlike Amaya, Kaylor introduced her new boyfriend, Torin, on the show.

"If he signed up to date you, he signed up for the crazy life because he’s in it too now," Kaylor told Amaya. "It’s difficult... Stay grounded, you will."
