One of the must-see movies of the Summer of 2026 isn't in theaters, but on Peacock.

Comedy director Malcolm D. Lee (The Best Man, The Best Man: The Final Chapters) is getting his thriller on with the upcoming Peacock Original thriller, Strung. From the mind of horror screenwriter Alan B. McElroy (Todd McFarlane's Spawn, Wrong Turn), Strung is an original story set among the opulent families of Los Angeles. But everything falls apart when a talented violin tutor arrives and immediately tracks the very strange behavior of the family she works for.

"I love a good suspense thriller and a solid narrative that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats. I hadn’t had the privilege of directing a film in this genre, but when I read Alan McElroy’s script, I knew I had to dip my toe in this water," Lee noted in statement along with the release of the film's new trailer.

"Strung draws you in with a combination of lush visuals, captivating performances and a riveting soundtrack that captivates viewers -- that is, if your heart and nerves can withstand the suspense."
