When all was said and done this summer in Fiji, a total of seven couples left the Love Island USA Villa hand-in-hand, ready to conquer the real world with the connections they made during Season 8.
And while there are still many pairs going strong, there are also romances that ended by the time of the reunion, which was filmed August 9 and 10. From the pressures of newfound fame to the passion simply fizzling out, here's why some Islanders decided to go their separate ways.

Who broke up from Love Island USA Season 8?
Corbin and Parmida
Parmida Keshani and Corbin Mims — also lovingly known as the Persian Cat and Corbin GPT — revealed during the reunion that they are no longer dating and are better off as friends.
They tried their hand at a relationship in the real world, with Parmida even moving from San Antonio, Texas to Corbin's native Miami. (Something she says she planned to do before meeting Corbin on Love Island). However, after what Corbin called some "ups and downs," they realized their relationship thrived the most when it was platonic.
They first hinted that their dynamic had shifted the night before the reunion taping in a August 9 pink carpet interview with Peacock Blog. Corbin described his relationship status as "vibing," while Parmida shed a bit more light on where things stood between them.
"I think we're trying to work on our friendship," she said. "We're both the type of people that don't like to rush anything. So coming out of the Villa, we decided that, OK, we want everything to come naturally. So if anything, we're just focusing on like vibing and being friends. Not so worried about the title. You know?"
The duo first met when Parmida arrived as a Casa Amor Bombshell during the Hearts on Fire challenge. Corbin was instantly blown away and infamously put his connection with Kenzie Annis to the side, fully investing his time and attention into Parmida. Shocked by their similarities and compatibility, their connection grew quickly. Soon after they recoupled in the main Villa, they decided to "close things off" and remain with each other for the rest of the season. Unfortunately, they were dumped in Episode 29 after landing in the Bottom 3 couples following America's Vote. The majority of the Islanders decided to save Zach and Kayda, sending Cormida home.
Caleb and Jaiden

While Cormida were relatively on the same page, Caleb McDaniel and Jaiden Bacciocco's split wasn't as amicable.
During the reunion, the two Bombshells revealed that they were no longer dating after Caleb sent Jaiden a breakup text that placed blame on his "time management" in wake of his new lifestyle. Until the finale, Caleb was the most followed Islander after leaving Fiji, coming out to more than 1 million new fans on his socials. This led to many once-in-a-lifetime career opportunities, like a trip to Japan with "best friend" and fellow Bombshell Jen Terry, and Season 7 alum and The Traitors winner Rob Rausch.
Jaiden explained that despite hooking up in the hotel in Fiji the night they were dumped from the Villa, she felt like he wasn't trying to keep up their relationship and wanted to "have his cake and eat it, too." On-top of the lack of communication, she said she kept hearing rumors about what he was getting up to while traveling for brand deals and club appearances. Despite this, they reconnected weeks later in the Hamptons where they hooked up again, but she says even after that, he continued to send her mixed signals.
Caleb admitted that he didn't know how to juggle a new relationship and his new work commitments, and he realized they wouldn't work out. Jaiden then accused Jen of helping Caleb write his breakup text, which she firmly denied. (And for the record, Jen and Caleb insisted they are not dating despite growing close post-Villa.)
On the pink carpet the night before the reunion, Caleb admitted to Peacock Blog that he was single, while Jaiden spilled she was "fully, fully, fully single" as recently as "a few days ago."
Caleb first got together with Jaiden when she arrived as an Casa Amor girl. They recoupled and he brought her back to the main Villa, but they were dumped in Episode 27 after the majority of Islanders voted them for least compatible couple alongside Gal and Amora.
