Rapaport's first role was in the war drama TV series China Beach in 1990 at only 20 years old. After playing guest roles on shows like Murphy Brown, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and ER, Rapaport landed what many fans consider his breakout role as Gary in Season 5 of Friends in 1999, playing Phoebe's love interest, Gary the police officer. (Yes, he played the cop who shot a bird.)
After his run on Friends, Rapaport nabbed recurring roles in series like Boston Public and My Name Is Earl, before moving on to starring roles in The War at Home and Prison Break in the mid-2000s.
Since then, Rapaport has appeared in a long list other television shows, from lending his voice to The Simpsons to guest-starring in The Big Bang Theory and Fallout. You may also recognize him from his recurring roles in Amy Schumer's series Life & Beth and Only Murders in the Building.
