Jordan Love will face Aaron Rodgers on Sunday Night Football: Packers vs. Steelers at 7p ET on Peacock and NBC

The biggest games of the NFL season are on Sunday Night Football. Every week, you can catch must-see matchups LIVE after the rest of Sunday’s action has concluded. This week, Sunday Night Football takes us to Pittsburgh, PA where the Green Bay Packers will face the hometown Steelers.

Green Bay Packers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Packers (4–1–1, 1st in NFC North) are on top of a very competitive division with only one loss so far this season. That one loss was a shock last-minute upset to the Cleveland Browns in a game where neither side could get much offense going. That performance looks more like a fluke every week, though. The Packers scored 40 points in the next game, though it ended in a tie with the Dallas Cowboys. They then delivered back-to-back 27-point wins against the Bengals and Cardinals. Now fresh off a bye, this team is rested and ready to wreck shop. Even as they go up against a quarterback who still has a lot of love for Green Bay. Packers QB Jordan Love sat behind Aaron Rodgers for three years before taking the starting job when Green Bay traded Rodgers to New York. Now, he’ll face his former teammate in that teammate’s new home. That’s a lot of pressure, but we’ve seen Love operate very well under pressure all season. And now with a rejuvenated offensive line protecting him, Love’s ability to spread the ball around the field will be even more deadly. Especially if running back Josh Jacobs, who has eight rushing touchdowns this season already, can keep Pittsburgh defense spread thin. The defense will be tested by Pittsburgh’s talented receivers, but we know linebacker Micah Parsons would love nothing more than toshut Rodgers down in Pittsburgh. If he can limit Pittsburgh’s offensive production, Green Bay could come out ahead on Sunday.

The Steelers (4–2, 1st in AFC North) are having a phenomenal season through the first six weeks with wins over the Jets, the Patriots, the Vikings and the Browns. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is playing some of the best football he has in years. He’s thrown for 1,270 yards and 14 touchdowns, and we’re not even halfway through the season. He’ll be especially fired up this weekend in his first game against the Green Bay Packers since leaving the team. If the Steelers win here, Rodgers will be one of a very small number of quarterbacks to have beaten every NFL team. Prominent as he is though, the Steelers are far more than the Aaron Rodgers show. He’s playing so well largely thanks to a supremely talented wide receiver corps. DK Metcalf is as dangerous on the field as ever, racking up 406 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Calvin Austin III has 139 yards and two touchdowns to call his own. Meanwhile, the deep tight end bench of Jonnu Smith, Pat Freiermuth, Darnell Washington, and Connor Haward all have at least one touchdown this season. Rodgers has so many options who can reliably catch the ball, the Steelers have become one of the more difficult teams to defend. If Rodgers can avoid pressure from Green Bay long enough to find one of the many talented receivers at his disposal, the Steelers can deliver the home crowd a win on Sunday Night Football.
