So, when can fans expect to return to the castle? Here's what to know about the future of The Traitors on Peacock.
The Traitors returns to Peacock in 2027
Peacock has ordered three more seasons, in addition to the upcoming Season 6, returning in 2027.
Who is hosting Seasons 6 through 9 of The Traitors on Peacock?
It wouldn't be a Scottish getaway without a humble host. Cumming will also be back following his third consecutive win for Outstanding Host For A Reality Or Reality Competition Program at the 2026 Emmy Awards.
A formula like The Traitors never gets old, with each cast bringing a fresh sense of mystery to the game. The Traitors is Peacock's nail-biting psychological competition series in which treachery and deceit are the name of the game. A distinguished roster of famous faces, notable figures, social media stars, and top reality TV icons flock to Scotland for a larger-than-life murder mystery. Set in an ancient castle deep in the Scottish Highlands, the players work together on a series of exhilarating missions to build a substantial prize fund.
Of course, building that prize money is easier said than done. Hidden amongst the innocent Faithful are the deceptive Traitors, whose goal is to eliminate the Faithful and claim the prize for themselves by the game's end. Under cover of darkness and dressed in dramatic cloaks, the Traitors murder the Faithful one by one in a treacherous spree of eliminations, while the Faithful do their best to expose the Traitors and banish them from the game before their time runs out. If the Faithful banish all the Traitors before they get the axe, they share the prize fund, but if any Traitor makes it to the end, they steal all the money for themselves.

During his 2026 Emmy acceptance speech, Cumming spoke about The Traitors' remarkable chokehold on viewers, which has cultivated viral moments every time a new season hits Peacock.
"The audience is so amazing, it is so diverse, and it's just incredible the way you all get together and watch the show together," Cumming said (via The Hollywood Reporter). "That is so beautiful — that a show about treachery and betrayal brings people together."
