Madagascar (2005)
In Madagascar, four pampered zoo animals — Alex the Lion (Ben Stiller), Marty the Zebra (Chris Rock), Melman the Giraffe (David Schwimmer), and Gloria the Hippo (Jada Pinkett Smith) — unexpectedly find themselves stranded in the wild after a runaway adventure goes off course. Used to the comforts of the Central Park Zoo, the crew must learn how to survive on the island of Madagascar, where things get zanier by the minute. With help from King Julien (Sacha Baron Cohen) and a squad of sneaky penguins, this is an animated classic that brings on laughs, catchy tunes, and heartfelt moments.

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa (2008)
In the sequel, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, Alex, Marty, Melman, and Gloria leave the island in hopes of returning to New York but they end up crash-landing in the African savannah. There, Alex reunites with his lion family, and the crew discovers where they truly belong, all while facing new challenges in the wild. Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, and Jada Pinkett Smith return to voice their Madagascar characters, and new voices are welcomed into the mix, such as Bernie Mac and Alec Baldwin. The sequel delves deep into themes of friendship, identity, and finding one's home.
