Why Yam Yam Exposed Lisa Rinna in His Last Moments on Traitors: "I'm a Bitter B***h"

Revenge is sometimes a dish best served while being escorted away from the table. At least that was the case for Yam Yam Arocho this week on The Traitors.

A split featuring Yamil "Yam Yam" Arocho and Lisa Rinna on The Traitors Episode 407.

The Survivor winner and alum Yam Yam Arocho used his final moments on The Traitors to unmask his killer. The Traitors Lisa Rinna, Candiace Dillard Bassett, and Rob Rausch had to murder a Faithful by tricking a player into touching a brooch. Lisa rose to the tricky challenge and decided to wear the cursed jewel to "The Black Banquet."

While the players mingled at the dinner, Lisa secretly targeted Yam Yam and pretended that her brooch was unpinned and she needed his help. Unfortunately, fixing the brooch on Lisa's outfit sealed his fate.

Host Alan Cumming presented another twist that could’ve saved Yam Yam’s life: Two players could drink an antidote that would save their life in the game. However, Natalie Anderson and Tara Lipinski ending up snagging the coveted drinks.

In the eleventh hour when he was abruptly pulled from the banquet table, Yam Yam pointed to Lisa's cheak kiss. He presumed the smooch was fatal, meaning she must be the murderous Traitor. Though he was right to be on Lisa’s trail, he missed what exactly caused his death at the time.

Peacock Blog caught up with Yam Yam to find out how he took the betrayal, why he decided to help his fellow Faithfuls with his swan song, and his hilarious take on “turkey gate.”

Peacock Blog: The Black Banquet. How daunting was it going into that experience?

Yam Yam: Had I known what the result was gonna be, of course I wouldn't be as happy. I would've run away. Oh, but it was beautiful. The setup was beautiful, the food. It feels so amazing and so real. It was great — and the outfits.

I knew something was gonna happen, but for some reason, it never occurred to me it was gonna be in an outfit and it took me by surprise. But I was happy that it happened in front of everyone 'cause I knew I wasn't gonna get till the end because of who I came in as a player, as a Survivor winner, but also of what everything that had happened.

What was your reaction to learning it was touching the brooch that was your actual kiss of death from Lisa rather than the kiss?

Of course I was like, ‘Ah, such a fool,’ I was screaming, ‘It was the kiss!’ But, I knew it was something because of the way Lisa shifted. Lisa and I had gotten really, really close, 'cause I wanted to have fun. I was not having fun at the beginning of the game, but at that point, I was like, I just need to have fun and Lisa was the person that was giving me the fun, right? So, I was very close to her, so, I knew and I recognized there was something going on. They even show me talking about, 'There's something going on with your eyes.'

I know when people shift their reactions to me, so I knew something had happened and I thought it was the kiss because Alan said the curse of the kiss repeats itself in his speech. By the time I realized the kiss part, they'd already taken the potions, so I cannot go for it. I knew it was something, but I didn't know it was the brooch. Girl, I'm not touching a brooch ever in my life again.

She killed me. She should not have killed me. We were friends. I felt a little betrayed.”

Give us some insight on what the face-off was like in real life for the antidote.

It was way messier, it was way longer. They said two minutes. It lasted, like, 30. It was bad, especially Tara and Natalie. They were going at it so bad. There was a lot of screaming, a lot of, like, ‘Was it the turkey? Was it the cards at the end of the table?’ I remember asking Lisa and Candiace to read what cards were there and which one was missing, but had I known that two of them were Traitors, I would not allow them to read what cards were out there.

It was a mess, but I went in because by that point, a lot of people had told me they didn't trust me — especially Kristen. When we left roundtable she was like, 'I don't think you're a Traitor, but I just don't trust you.' And the way she said it to me, I took it very personal, so I went into the Banquet a little bit down because I played a really social game where people trusted me on Survivor, and then on this game, I was on the opposite spectrum. So, I was looking for people to trust me, so when the potions come in and they're just standing to the side of Alan and nobody's standing to get them… that's why I told Johnny, 'Grab it, grab it!' 'cause he was right next to it and [I told him to] give it to Kristen 'cause I thought I wanted to gain Kristen's trust again, but I thought also because she was so outspoken. She should be protected. And then Natalie, obviously, went for her. Natalie and I were working together and I was like, 'I don't think it's gonna be me,' so, I wanted to protect Natalie because Natalie and I were so close.

Then Alan repeats the speech after they do the potions, and he says about the curse of the kiss, and I look at Mark and I say, 'Lisa kissed me. Lisa kissed me.' I don't know if he didn't trusted me.

Even when they dragged me out, people were like, ‘But what do you mean? What do you mean she kiss you?’ and I was trying to explain. I was being dragged away. ‘You guys don't understand. She kissed me, she kissed me, she kissed me different. She kissed me like my mom kissed me, like my aunt kissed me. She didn't kiss me like a Housewife.’

Why use your last moments to call out Lisa and help the other Faithfuls?

'Cause I'm a bitter b*tch. I don't know.

I mean, she killed me. She should not have killed me. We were friends. I felt a little betrayed. I mean, we talk about it. It was not like that. When I found out she went out after me right away, I was like, 'Okay then. It's good. It's the end of a chapter for the two of us.'

I love her. She's iconic. I'm happy she murdered me. I'm happy she picked me. I'm happy I was murdered by her. I'm happy it was the first time this happened in front of people. First time 'cause there had been murder in plain sight or murder face to face, but a murder in front of everyone, like, ‘Action, live, go,’ I was happy it was my thing.

What are your thoughts on the other Traitors' identities? What do you think of their games? Were you shocked learning it was Rob and Candiace?

Oh my god, I was so shocked it was Candiace and Rob. I had no idea. I mean, Candiace was not very high on my trust circle, but Rob was like, my number two. I was like, Natalie first, then Rob. I had no idea.

Rob could have gone to my ear and whispered, ‘Yam Yam, I'm a Traitor,’ and I would have said, ‘No you're not,’ like, as soon as I found that, I was like, ‘Oh my god, I hope they win, I hope Rob wins, I hope Rob recruits Natalie. F**k, the Faithfuls, we are a f*****g mess, they don't trust each other. They don't deserve me. Whatever.’

The Faithfuls, until that point, were a mess. I was so mad at them. I was like, whatever. They all deserve to lose.

What do you think threw people off the most at the Banquet…the cards, the food, or each other?

In my opinion, the cards were the most weird thing, 'cause it was the first time we had images of ourself on the table that we can interact with.

It did not fit the whole Banquet scenario, so it was definitely the one that I felt created the most noise, but Tara and Natalie's interaction with the turkey on the chat that we have as a group — I mean, not everybody's there, but it's all about the turkey. The turkey gate. I'm sure Tara is gonna get some collaboration with a turkey brand or something with Butterball or something 'cause that girl on the turkey, I think to this day, she's still traumatized 'cause she doesn't eat turkey.

Was it smart or not for the traitors to get rid of the gamers so quickly?

Of course not, it was a horrible choice.

It’s so weird because remember, the first two murders of the gamers were choices from Donna [Kelce], so it's not even like it's smart for the Traitors to have murdered the gamers. ‘Cause they were working with whatever Donna was giving them.

I did love that Donna was picking up quiet people. Her explanation of who she was putting up for nomination was the quiet people 'cause a lot of people go into Traitors and they play a quiet game to get far, and I don't like rewarding that. I'm like, ‘Be noisy, be yourself, be out there.’ Why play boring? Girl, what? We're at the castle in Scotland in Inverness with Alan. Hello!
