Unless you're a K-pop or Korean reality television aficionado, The Traitors Season 4 contestant Eric Nam might be an unrecognized face amongst the cast members

How to Watch

Stream The Traitors Thursdays at 9/8c exclusively on Peacock.

This season, despite being a Faithful, he's been targeted by the Secret Traitor and the traditional Traitors for not being a threat. But perhaps they — and fans at home — are underestimating Eric because of his youthful looks and friendly demeanor? It certainly wouldn't be the first time as confusion about Eric's age and his affiliation with the boy band culture has always confused many.

The lore goes back to his "Nam Nation" K-pop days when he'd be teased by his peers for being more "elder" than the upcoming next-gen of singers. And just this week, his Insta @NamNationHQ fans posted a collaboration post with the star. In the clip, Eric is seen walking down the steps of The Traitors' Scottish castle. The caption pokes fun at the misjudgment of his age:  "Yes, it’s true he’s 19."

Eric is 36 years old, turning 37 in November.

While he's a fresh face within the walls and grounds of  Ardross Castle, Eric's huge career in South Korea is a fascinating story. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Eric grew up in a normal suburban family, the eldest of three boys. He was going to pursue a career in finance with a commensurate degree from Boston College. A job was waiting for him in India when one of his YouTube cover songs blew up.
