Every Single Song Heard on Peacock's Spy Thriller Show, PONIES
If the 1970s soundtrack of Peacock's PONIES caught your attention, check out this full list of tunes and artists featured on the series.
From the very first scene of Peacock's PONIES to the very last, a killer soundtrack helps set the mood and transport viewers back to the 1970s.
Set in 1977 during the Cold War, the spy thriller series follows Bea (Emilia Clarke) and Twila (Haley Lu Richardson), two Americans who are based in Moscow with their CIA operative husbands. When they're told that their husbands died in a plane crash, they convince the CIA to let them work as spies to get to the bottom of what happened to their spouses.
While the PONIES' characters' wardrobes — as well as filming in Budapest, Hungary as a substitute for 1970s Moscow — help date the look of the series, the show's songs also stand out and let us time-travel back to the decade.

The first scene of Episode 1 shows Bea strolling around the streets of Moscow as the upbeat tempo of Fleetwood Mac's hit "Second Hand News," from the 1977 album Rumours, blares. Viewers see Bea and lots of others through the lens of a photographer as she moves about, with the spy's camera only heard snapping shots of men but never Bea, establishing her for the audience as a PONI — or Person of No Interest.
Bea and Twila are considered PONIES since they're women in 1970s Moscow and not deemed a threat, which makes it a little easier for them to spy on the KGB.
The very last song heard on the series, which plays throughout the closing moments of the finale, is equally effective. No spoilers here, but Billy Joel's "The Stranger" — also from 1977, of course — helps build tension as things fall apart.
If the PONIES soundtrack stood out for you, you're not alone. And if you recognize any of the tunes played across the eight episodes — all now streaming on Peacock — and wonder what they're titled or who sings them, check out the below list of every single song heard on the show, broken down by episode.
