Keke Palmer Is Adjusting to the Murderous Suburbs in Official Trailer for Peacock's The 'Burbs
"It's the 'burbs, babes."
"Welcome to Ashfield Place!" Keke Palmer (Password, Nope) is about to experience some serious suburban paranoia up close and personal as she leads Peacock's brand-new mystery/comedy series, The 'Burbs.
A contemporary reimagining of Joe Dante's 1989 cult movie of the same name, this eight-episode series finds Palmer's young mother Samira and her husband Rob (Jack Whitehall) moving from the city to his parent's old neighborhood, which just so happens to be billed as the "safest town in America." But is it?

And the busybody vibe gets more intense once the worn down Victorian across from Samira and Rob's house gets bought by a very odd man (Justin Kirk). Did he buy it because the house is infamous for a supposed murder? Samira gets swept up in discovering more about the mysterious buyer, and the history of the house.
