The official trailer released on September 13 gives off appropriately 1980s slasher-film vibes.
Opening with Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear the Reaper," the town of Crystal Lake is in high spirits at the top of camp season, with Pam working there as a cook. But tragedy cuts through the merriment, and Pam screams as she watches her son Jason scramble in the water.
Jason's drowning death at summer camp sets off a series of events that causes Cardellini's Pam to unravel, evolving into the psychopath killer that would seek revenge on Camp Crystal Lake's counselors for failing to look after her son. But is Pam the only danger out in those woods? And what does that man mean when he refers to who Pam and Jason "really were"? You'll have to stream the series on October 15 to find out!

Cardellini, fresh off her first-ever Emmy win (Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie for her role in DTF St. Louis), has put in another unforgettable performance with her portrayal of Pamela Voorhees.
According to showrunner Brad Caleb Kane, Cardellini's performance throughout the series is something viewers should keep an eye on.
