Ron Funches rose to fame as a stand-up comedian
Ron launched his career through stand-up comedy, developing a style that leaned into raw honesty, vulnerable humor, and hilarity at everyday situations. After serving as a writer for comedy series like The Eric Andre Show and The Half Hour, he became a regular performer on Chelsea Lately, where he continued to garner widespread acclaim.
The 42-year-old's recurring role on the comedy series Crash & Bernstein, as well as his iconic regailings on Drunk History, only solidified his star status.
Ron Funches' TV and film career
After captivating audiences on national stages and primetime, Ron later started appearing in a variety of television projects, with early appearances in sitcoms like New Girl, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Cougar Town, Mulaney, and many more.
Some of Ron's other standout television projects include playing Shelly in the NBC series Undateable, and recurring guest appearances in A.P. Bio, Black-ish, Powerless, and Highly Gifted. He also appeared in the 2015 comedy film Get Hard alongside Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart. His flexes v ersatility in any role he takes on, leading to dozens of iconic appearances (and a formidable foe on Season 4 of The Traitors).

Funches is also aprolific voice actor, bringing dozens of characters to life across various television and film hits. Funches is well known for playing Cooper in the Trolls films, reprising the role in the TV series Trolls: The Beat Goes On and across the full franchise. Funches also played Bloofy alongside Amy Poehler's Joy in the 2024 film Inside Out 2. Funches has also provided voice credits to television series like Adventure Time, Bojack Horseman, Bob's Burgers, Central Park, and The Great North, to scratch the surface of his work behind the microphone.
Some of Funches' recent projects include starring as Howard in the action series Loot, as well as voicing the roles of Fox in Final Space and the villainous King Shark in the DC series Harley Quinn.
