The idea of filming a show on the gorgeous island of Nantucket with one of your best friends sounds like a dream come true. And that's exactly how Jennifer Garner pitched the role of The Five Star Weekend's Electra Hargrove to her friend of more than 20 years, Judy Greer.
The eight-episode Peacock Original stars Garner, Greer, and an ensemble supporting cast that includes two men both have worked with before. And as it turns out, getting Greer on board with the project was way easier than Garner could've imagined — all it took was about five seconds of persuasion.
During a July 9 conversation with Variety, Greer was asked how Garner pitched the idea of working together on The Five Star Weekend.
"Do you want to do this thing? It'd be super fun and then you can come to Nantucket and we can hang out in Nantucket 'cause we like to go places together that other people pay for?" Greer said, recalling what Garner told her.

In the series, Greer plays Electra Undergrove, best described as a mean-girl mom with connections to both Hollis (Garner) and Brooke (D'Arcy Carden). No spoilers here, of course, but Greer's character plays a pivotal role in the story's climax as it unfolds across eight episodes.
Greer had actually never been to Nantucket before filming the series, calling the town "amazing" in a July interview with The Knockturnal. The star also confessed that she may have gotten lost on occasion in between shoots.
"I did get lost a lot, because every house literally has to look the same. I think it's a law," she quipped. "So it was hard to memorize landmarks to get myself back."

The journeys weren't all for naught, though — she evidently stumble upon many ice cream shops while "lost" in Nantucket.

Greer and Josh Hamilton both starred in 2025 dystopian thriller The Long Walk, based on the book by Stephen King. Greer also has ties to Olyphant, as the two are both in the cast of the TV series Stick.
And while this is the first time Greer and Garner have gone to Nantucket together, it's famously not the first time they've acted together.
