The escapist romantic comedy came from the minds of screenwriter Ryan Engle and his wife Kristin. After they developed the story together, the script found its way to Packer and his producing partner Johana Byer.

What is You, Me & Tuscany about?
The movie follows Anna (Halley Bailey), a house-sitter who's abandoned her dreams of becoming a chef and is struggling through her 20s. However, her life changes following a chance meeting with a handsome man named Matteo (Lorenzo de Moor), who reveals he owns a Villa in Tuscany.
On a whim, and without his permission, Anna buys a one-way ticket to Italy and sneaks onto his estate. However, her clandestine getaway gets complicated when Matteo's mother mistakes her for his fiancée — and she goes along with it. The situation gets messier when Anna starts falling for Michael (Regé-Jean Page), Matteo's cousin and the caretaker of their family's vineyard.
