Live from Studio 8H, it was a big night. Former Saturday Night Live cast member and Weekend Update anchor Amy Poehler returned to host for the third time (her second hosting individually), and Role Model made his debut as musical guest. The Oct 11 episode, which featured several special guests and cameos, also carried extra weight, landing on the 50th anniversary of SNL’s first broadcast (Oct 11, 1975).
