It won't take long for cheerleading coach Courteney Potter (Jenn Lyon) and her Buttons team at Headltston State Junior College to win your heart. Now's your chance to catch this ragtag team in action for the very first time, or re-watch the entire season at once if you've been a fan since the beginning.
In addition to Lyon, the show also stars Taran Killam, Ryan Pinkston, Jarrett Austin Brown, Anissa Borrego, Arianna Davis, Taylor Dunbar, and Georgie Murphy. Kristin Chenoweth is a recurring guest star.
The show starts off with Courteney being fired from her cheer coach job at another school — where she led the squad there to multiple championship wins — after a video went viral of her partying and drinking with her team.
Hilarity ensues as Courteney takes a new job at Headltston, a school and town name that no one can pronounce, and where she has to build a cheer squad from scratch.

One of the most endearing aspects of the show is Courteney's relationship with her husband Boon E. Potter (Taran Killam), who's the football coach at the school his wife was fired from, Sammy Davis Sr. Junior College. The pair have been together since high school.
Kristin Chenoweth is in a recurring role as Tammy Istiny, who was Courteney’s long-time assistant coach at Sammy Davis Sr. Junior College. While Tammy initially seemed devastated when Courteney was fired, all is not what it seems.
