What to expect from Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks special
The 49th edition of the America's largest and most dazzling fireworks show will take place near the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. More than 80,000 firework shells, featuring 30 vibrant colors and awe-inspiring special effects, will dazzle the New York City skies. Four barges positioned on the lower East River in the Seaport District will provide miles of prime public viewing.
The fireworks show will be set to a musical score produced by Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson and James Poyser, accompanied by a live performance from Oscar® winner and Broadway star Ariana DeBose. Inspired by the spirit of America, the 25-minute score will celebrate themes of community, resiliency, and shared connection.
Who will be performing at the celebration
Hosted by Ariana DeBose, the 4th of July extravaganza will feature LIVE performances by the Jonas Brothers, Eric Church, Lenny Kravitz, Keke Palmer, and Trisha Yearwood ahead of the fireworks show.
DeBose will also perform LIVE during the fireworks show, accompanied by an original score produced by Questlove and James Poyser.
