What is the Paris-Nice cycling race?

Cyclists compete in the 2025 Paris-Nice cycling race.

First run in 1933 and celebrating its 84th race this season, Paris-Nice is one of the most prestigious races in cycling. Known as the "Race to the Sun," it takes athletes from the cold, often wintry conditions of northern France in late winter, down into the sunny, warmer coastal climes of Nice in the south. Through eight stages in as many days, it will take riders 1,245 kilometers (nearly 800 miles) through France, and the winner will enter the history books alongside greats like Ireland's Sean Kelly (the winningest Paris-Nice cyclist of all time) and last year's winner, the USA's Matteo Jorgenson.

So if you love cycling and you want daily racing to look forward to for the next week and more, head over to Peacock and enjoy!
