Dave Flemming's broadcasting career

MLB Dave Flemming

Flemming has called many different sports in his broadcasting career, including college basketball, college football, and golf, but he's best known for his years calling Major League Baseball games in various capacities. For more than two decades Flemming served as the play-by-play voice for the San Francisco Giants, calling some of the franchise's most memorable moments on the radio and on select TV broadcasts for NBC Sports Bay Area.

His other baseball credits include providing international play-by-play calls for the MLB during the World Series, as well as the Little League World Series, and more.

“Dave is an elite play-by-play announcer whose knowledge and love for the game comes through in his storytelling and big-game calls for national and local audiences,” said Sam Flood, NBC Sports Executive Producer. “We are excited to have Dave join our lineup beginning this weekend.”

Flemming is the latest in a distinguished line of broadcasters to join NBC Sports' MLB coverage since baseball returned earlier this year, and he will begin his tenure calling games for MLB Sunday Leadoff, Peacock's exclusive Sunday afternoon MLB broadcasts.
