Trailer for Peacock's M.I.A. Sees Shannon Gisela's Etta Dead Set on Revenge After Her Family's Murders
Miami serves as the stunning backdrop to Peacock's action-packed new crime drama series, M.I.A.
Miami's known for its stunning beaches and lively nightlife — but this spring, the popular Florida vacation destination will serve as the backdrop for a thrilling new crime drama series.
M.I.A. — a nine-episode series dropping in full on Peacock on Thursday, May 7 — sees Etta Tiger Jonze (Shannon Gisela) out for revenge. And an action-packed new trailer that dropped on Wednesday, April 8 reveals the driving force behind her plot to kill a dozen men.
An injured, bleeding, and unconscious Etta is shown getting rescued from the ocean at the start of the trailer. And it's revealed that most of her family was killed.

"I need a new identity," Etta tells Lena (Tovah Feldshuh). "Twelve men killed my family. And I'm gonna find them. And I'm gonna kill them — all of them."
Etta is certainly determined, as she's seen elsewhere in the trailer wielding a knife and sporting a short blond wig that makes for a drastically different look than her regular long-haired brunette style.
But some seem to know what Etta's up to, or at least want her dead. "Put a bullet in her head," Edward James Olmos' character says.
Lena tells Etta, "Clean kills come with training. Twelve is too many for one girl."
But Etta defiantly responds, "I'm not just any girl."
Glimpses of explosions, gunfire, and chase scenes are also shown in the trailer, teasing a wild ride ahead.
