The success of Blumhouse's 2021 original horror thriller The Black Phone seemingly ended with closure on the fate of the serial child killer known as the Grabber (Ethan Hawke). However, director Scott Derrickson (Doctor Strange) and co-writer C. Robert Cargill (Sinister) had a lot more mythology up their sleeves, which is revealed in their sequel, Black Phone 2, which now streaming exclusively on Peacock

The sequel brings back Mason Thames (How to Train Your Dragon), Madeleine McGraw (Ant-Man and the Wasp), Jeremy Davies (Lost), and Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon). New cast members include Demián Bichir (A Better Life), Arianna Rivas (A Working Man) and Anna Lore (They/Them). 

What is Black Phone 2 about?

In this direct sequel to The Black Phone, it's been four years since the Grabber events that terrorized siblings Finney (Mason Thames) and Gwen (Madeleine McGraw). They think they killed their tormentor, but what if they didn't?

Per the official synopsis: "True evil transcends death and the black phone rings again as The Grabber (Ethan Hawke) torments Finn from beyond the grave by menacing his sister Gwen. Haunted by horrific visions, the teens set out to stop their psychological torture only to uncover a disturbing secret as they confront a killer who has only grown more powerful in death."

The siblings journey to Alpine Lake, an infamous youth camp, in the dead of winter to uncover a mystery regarding the first victims of The Grabber. Their ghostly presences now haunt the camp, and will explain the next phase of The Grabber's evil machinations.
