The exterior of Casa Luna -— the villa Anna finds herself at when she first arrives in Tuscany — was filmed on a working vineyard in Tuscany. Interior shots took place at Rome's Cinecittà Studios.
"Traditional houses usually have small rooms unless they have been renovated," production designer Elena Albanese said during a studio production interview. "They can be difficult to find during high season, especially when you need to film for many days in the same interiors. Building on stage allowed us to create the layout we needed for the story while also making it easier for lighting and cameras."

Ristorante Costa
Believe it or not, Ristorante Costa's interior scenes were filmed in Rome, not Tuscany. Thankfully, the production team found an interior space whose owner had a "personal passion" for Tuscany, and the rest was history.
The exterior of Ristorante Costa was filmed in Pienza, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Tuscany's Val d'Orcia — sharing a similarity with Michael's Winery scenes.

Michael's Winery
The winery serves as the backdrop to much of the movie, and was filmed in Val 'dOrcia at the Sesti estate, a historic vineyard in a region actually known more for producing cheese than wine.
"The location we found was a rare discovery," Albanese revealed. "The winery is the apotheosis of Italy. I wanted it to be fresh, colorful, full of little details."
The location proved to be ideal for filming. The setting was incredibly versatile; the area was redressed for multiple scenes.
"When I first read the script, it was clear we needed a location that could support several sets and avoid constant company moves," Albanese continued, before adding that Sesti "had everything we could wish for."

Bravio Delle Botti
The "Bravio Delle Botti"—- the movie's pivotal barrel race sequence, inspired by traditional Italian barrel-rolling competitions — was filmed in a countryside olive grove found just outside Rome.
Originally written to take place in the town center, the locale was switched to the Italian countryside, where the picturesque setting could offer a more immersive visual environment.
"Instead of narrow streets, we needed something with scale and an impressive building we could dress for the scene," Albanese explained. "The olive grove reminded me of the euphoric, bucolic atmosphere of the sagre popolari, the traditional countryside festivals I remember from childhood. As soon as we scouted the location, it felt like the perfect setting for the race."
Cinecittà Studios
Much of the movie's interior builds (like Casa Luna) were filmed at Rome's Cinecittà Studios.
