1. Candyman (2021)
A sequel to the 1992 film of the same name, this follow-up centers on visual artist Anthony McCoy (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), who becomes obsessed with the legend of the Candyman. The terrifying killer is a vengeful spirit summoned when his name is said five times in a mirror. As Anthony falls deeper into the mirror’s spell and the Candyman’s legend, horrifying events unfold in the now gentrified Chicago Cabrini-Green neighborhood where the Candyman perished under nefarious circumstances. This mirror, mirror isn’t saving Snow White. The film includes a cameo by the late actor Tony Todd, who originated Candyman and made the franchise a must-scare.

2. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)
One of the original slasher films, this 1974 classic leaves most of its blood and gore to the imagination, but, still, the roar of Leatherface’s terrifying chainsaw is enough to send a chill down anyone’s spine. Inspired by true events, the movie follows a group of friends who fight for their survival after encountering a family of killers in the rural Texas countryside. Whether or not you think your date is the one, Leatherface is sure to make them look like marriage material by comparison.

3. Cult of Chucky (2017)
There’s just something creepy about Chucky the doll. Maybe it’s the plastic eyes. Or maybe it’s the smile. Oh, or maybe it’s that he’s possessed with the soul of a serial killer and wields a sharpened kitchen knife. Whatever the answer, in this seventh installment of the Child’s Play franchise, Chucky doesn’t act alone. Instead, he recruits a cult of murderers to terrorize his victims. And for those that aren’t satisfied with just one date with Chucky, Peacock also has nearly every Child’s Play film available to stream, including the classic Child’s Play 2 (1990) and Bride of Chucky (1998). Because if Chucky can find love, we’re sure you can too.
