Can you even imagine a season of Peacock's The Traitors without the devilish commentary of host Alan Cumming?
Especially in challenges, Alan's piquant, real-time observations of his all-star cast of contestants making smart and sometimes very dumb decisions, are gold. And nothing gets past his peepers like the cozy behavior of Love Island's Maura Higgins and Rob Rausch.
At the start of the game, Maura immediately recognized Rob when the contestants first met outside of Ardross Castle. In that very moment, Maura asked him to have her back in the game, though his reply was noncommittal. However, Rob's been looking out for Maura so far with a very keen eye, helping her through physical challenges, or buffering her from the roughest stuff when he can.
Even the audience has taken notice with the TikTok tag Rob and Maura Kiss growing every week, and Reddit threads dedicated to keeping an eye out on a potential ship. Rob's fueled the fire when he went above and beyond in Episode 4, "Cut Off the Head of the Snake," with his swoon-worthy behavior that even Alan has to call out.

Rob Rausch throws Maura Higgins over his shoulder
The challenges on The Traitors are no joke. All of the contestants across the seasons confess that they're exhausting, so there's no question that any of them look for shortcuts when made available to them. But Maura gets an upgrade from last week's rolling throne ride when Rob becomes her personal Uber of the Highlands.
During the Burning Effigies challenge, around the halfway point, the team of Rob, Maura, Dorinda, and Tara Lipinski discovered their second spear in the woods and began hoofing it back. They're all sluggishly running when Rob suddenly turns and offers Maura a ride. She accepts and he immediately scoops her up in a fireman's carry and sprints back to the effigies, right past the wheezing pair of Tara and Dorinda.

From atop his observation bluff, Alan commented at the sight before him, "I know Maura likes to rely on Rob in these missions, but come on! What about Dorinda? She hasn't had a ride in awhile."
That's spit-take worthy alone, but his follow up camera side-eye makes it iconic.
