What are The Office: Superfan Episodes?
The mockumentary sitcom finished its 9-season run in 2013, but The Office: Superfan Episodes are longer cuts featuring never-before-seen footage, re-cut scenes, and rare bonus moments meant to give die-hard fans insider access to their favorite characters and scenes.
Over the course of production, scenes and moments were cut to meet each episode's TV-sized time slot when the series originally aired on NBC — but with Superfan Episodes streaming on Peacock, that's not an issue.
As the press release for the Season 9 installment states, the Superfan Episode will give "fans insider access to Dunder Mifflin like never before, from every prank and talking head to every unforgettable conference room meltdown. Season 9 brings the story full circle: the documentary finally airs, the office faces its biggest changes, Jim and Pam navigate a rough patch, Dwight rises to power, and yes — Michael Scott returns for the series finale. Bears. Beets. Galactica. Closure."
Are you even a superfan of The Office if you don't start binging all 9 seasons of these bonus-packed episodes beginning on January 26?

"They really understand it very well and they’re committed to making the most comprehensive fan experience," Daniels said. "And so they’re very good about trying to provide extra content, and make it fun, and kind of make it the very best experience for a super fan you could possibly want. I’ve gone back with the original editors, and we had access to all of the footage, because it’s NBC, and all of the marketing and all of the interviews with the cast... We could go back and look at dailies and go, ‘Oh, yeah, I remember that,’ ‘Oh my God, I haven’t seen that since we were on the set,’ or stuff like that."
