It's created and executive produced by Bill Dubuque (Ozark), with Karen Campbell (Outlander, Dexter, Raised by Wolves) acting as showrunner and executive producer. Alethea Jones (Spider-Noir and High Potential) directed the first two episodes and also serves as an executive producer.

Elwes — best known for his roles in The Princess Bride and Robin Hood: Men in Tights — praised M.I.A.'s creator and showrunner for finding a cast and crew of "remarkable talent."

In an interview with Peacock Blog, he referred to Gisela, who stars as Etta, as "a force to contend with... She just grabs you by the lapels and won't let go. But that goes for the talent [all] around her. All of the cast are wonderful, wonderful actors."

"It's always nice as an actor when you show up and find out that the people you're working with aren't just talented, they're nice people," Elwes told Peacock Blog.
