Who’s in the cast of Ted Season 2?
Seth MacFarlane - Ted (Ted, Ted 2)
The brains behind the whole Ted franchise, writer, director, producer (and singer when asked), Seth MacFarlane was born in Connecticut, but he sure knows his way around a Boston accent. MacFarlane began his career as an animator and writer for Hanna-Barbera Cartoons, working on classic series like Johnny Bravo. While there, he pitched his Family Guy animated series idea to Fox and he got the money to make a pilot. The series was picked up in 1998 and is still producing new episodes to this day. He's also created American Dad!, The Cleveland Show, The Orville, and the Ted franchise.
In Peacock's Ted series, MacFarlane voices Ted the teddy bear who sports a Boston accent and R-rated mouth.
Max Burkholder - John Bennett (The Purge, Parenthood)
Max Burkholder was born into a family of actors, with his mom and dad both professional actors. His big break was a playing Max Ryerson in Eddie Murphy's Daddy Day Care in 2003. Not long after, his path crossed with Seth MacFarlane, voicing characters in Family Guy, which helped him transition into steady voice performance work in The Land Before Time series, My Friends Tigger & Pooh, and most recently Invincible.
In Ted, Burkholder plays the young John Bennett (played by Mark Wahlberg in both films). A misfit with his peers, he looks to his best friend and teddy bear to help him grow up (well, sorta).
Scott Grimes - Matty Bennett (Party of Five, The Orville)
Scott Grimes has been an actor since age 13, when he co-starred with the legendary Mickey Rooney in the holiday TV movie, It Came Upon the Midnight Clear. Then he met another legend singing in Bob Hope's Royal Command Performance from Sweden (1986). In film, he appeared in Critters, Mystery, Alaska, Robin Hood, and most recently, Oppenheimer. On the TV side, he's most known for playing Will McCorkle in Party of Five, Sergeant 1st Class Donald Malarkey in Band of Brothers, and Dr. Archie Morris in ER. With MacFarlane, he's been part of the casts of American Dad!, Family Guy, The Orville, and Ted.
In the series, Grimes plays the big, loud dad of Johnny, Matty Bennett. A Vietnam vet, he battles with PTSD and is tough on his kid.

She also made her mark in Clockwatchers, the Legally Blonde films, Meet the Fockers, and most recently Venom: The Last Dance. On the TV side, she's known for voicing Manny in El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera, Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce, and Euphoria.
In the Ted series, she plays Susan Bennett, Johnny's sheltered, sweet, stay-at-home mom.
Giorgia Whigham - Blaire Bennett (The Punisher, Scream: Resurrection)
Acting since the age of 18, Giorgia Whigham first scored an episode on Shameless. She first crossed paths with MacFarlane on his series The Orville. She also had main roles in The Punisher and Scream: Resurrection.
In Ted, she plays Johnny's liberal cousin Blaire Bennett. She butts horns with Matty and is very protective of her dorky cousin.
What is Ted about?
Per the show's official logline, Ted the series is an adult prequel series to MacFarlane's Ted films: "Set in the '90s, Ted the bear’s moment of fame has passed. He’s now living back home in Framingham, Massachusetts with his best friend, 17-year-old John Bennett, along with John’s parents, Matty and Susan and cousin Blaire. Ted may be a lousy influence on John, but at the end of the day, he’s a loyal pal who’s always willing to go out on a limb for friendship."
