How to Watch Boston Celtics vs. Philadelphia 76ers Game 6 - NBA Playoffs on Peacock
The Sixers will fight to keep their season alive in another elimination game at home in Philly.
The Philadelphia 76ers have had to fight hard to get here. Dealing with injuries, including an emergency appendectomy for star center Joel Embiid a few weeks, they battled through the Play-In Tournament, only to end up facing the second-seeded Boston Celtics, arguably the best team in the Eastern Conference, in the First Round of the NBA Playoffs.
Tuesday night in Boston, the Celtics were supposed to close out their First Round series against the Sixers in Game 5, but Philly had other ideas. Led by a rejuvenated Embiid, Philadelphia pulled off a double-digit win to pull their season back from the brink. Thursday night, they take the series back home to Philly for another potential season-saver, and you can catch it all on Peacock!

What to expect from Celtics vs. Sixers Game 6 on Peacock
Once again, despite the home court advantage for Philly, this feels like Boston's game to lose. On paper, they are simply the better team, with the best defense in the league, two of the best scorers in Jaylen Brown and a recovered Jayson Tatum, and one of the best point differentials in the NBA.
But the NBA Playoffs can change things, and while the Celtics have remained statistically solid in the postseason, they have not proven as dominant as they were a few weeks ago across the entire series. When they've beaten Philly, they've won big, but on off nights like Tuesday, their offense has failed to crack 100 points, while their defense has struggled against Philly's physicality. That seemed to peak on Tuesday as Embiid, in his second game back after surgery, pushed ahead with 33 points. Tyrese Maxey added 25 more, plus 10 rebounds, and Paul George tacked on 16 for a very solid performance from the Sixers' starters. If they can carry that momentum through to their home court advantage, they can force Game 7. If the Celtics are the Celtics, it might be over.
