We'd say the franchise has reached cultural saturation. In fact, it got a shout-out in a recent episode of another long-running franchise, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. After being hurt in the Season 27 premiere, Detective Fin Tutuola (Ice T) is recovering at home, when he's surprised by a visiting colleague. Answering the door, Fin jokes, "I don't recall inviting you over here to my Love Island watch party."

Are we meant to believe the touch NYC cop was actually hosting a watch party? Probably not. But he knows the show well enough to throw out a reference...and we wouldn't put it past him to tune in. Every day. At 9 p.m. ET on Peacock.
